MY RESEARCH & REFERENCES

My research topic was spiking and involuntary drugging in nightclubs and bars across the UK, mainly Scotland as that is where I'm based. The purpose of my research topic is spreading crucial information and educating people on how to stay safe and avoid being a victim. My target audience is students as I am a student myself and 40% of spike victims are students. The main points I researched were how to stay safe in clubs, what students have been doing to gain the nightclubs' attention and stop the criminals from being able to operate altogether, and the statistics surrounding spiking and involuntary drugging in Edinburgh. As well as students being my primary audience I am also targeting people younger than University age so they know what to look out for in years to come as well as older people such as nightclub owners who can look into how to make their business a safer place.
