girls night in '21

The 'girls night in' 2021 was a club boycott arranged by students all over the UK with the intend of club owners seeing a significant decrease in customers and income therefore forcing them to take safety in their establishments more seriously. When we go out we want to feel safe whilst enjoying ourselves and this shouldn’t be too much to ask for especially when it’s possible for this to happen. Both the Edinburgh & Glasgow night in took place on October 28th. Unfortunately the boycotts took place fairly recently so we are unable to determine the impact they have had on the clubs and what they will do to change. Some changes people hope will be made include on the door searches being introduced and more security footage being added especially on the busiest areas of the dance floor. Some clubs have recently implemented searches but they aren't always executed properly and when the queue is really long they don't bother to search everyone.
